The role of Senior Director Global Sponsorship Product Integration and Innovation represents an exciting opportunity for a passionate global marketing and sponsorship management executive with an eye for innovation. He/she will be responsible for driving Visa's product and innovation priorities through the lens of Visa's Global sponsorships. Visa's global partnerships include the International Olympic Committee (IOC), National Olympic Committees (such as the USOC), FIFA, the NFL, as well as selected national federations (Track & Field, Swimming, Skiing and Snowboard, etc.) and 40+ athletes that make up Team Visa.


Reporting to the Vice President of Global Sponsorship Marketing, this accomplished professional will be the face of Visa's product and innovation priorities dealing directly with our Partners at the IOC, USOC, FIFA, NFL and the Organizing Committees for Russia 2018 PyeongChang 2018, and Tokyo 2020, etc. This role will work hand in hand with Visa's Global Property Managers on the Olympics, FIFA and NFL who lead our global Partner relationships for Visa.


In addition to a deep understanding of the business of major Global Sponsorships and Organizing Committees as well as a natural passion for sport, this professional must have strong connections with the key players in the industry around the world. They must think like an innovator and see the opportunity to showcase Visa's payment priorities across complex and opportunistic environments. The scope of work includes (a) leading the implementation of Visa product infrastructure and product initiatives supporting Visa's innovation strategies and priorities (b) working across a team of senior managers in the USA, Russia, and other countries that will host future Olympic Games, World Cups as well as the Super Bowl & NFL Games.

  • Lead the development and implementation of Visa product innovation and integration across major sponsorship events working with all key stakeholders: day-to-day collaboration with organizations such as FIFA, IOC, and NFL.
  • Manage the strategy, development and execution of product innovation and integration plan with internal key stakeholders: day-to-day collaboration with Brand Marketing, Product Innovation, Global Processing, Global Solutions, Merchant, etc.
  • Work with Visa's local market in future host countries to build the capabilities necessary to build all POS and ATM business requirements and project plans with key stakeholders: local organizing committee, local acquirers, host retail bank, vendors, etc.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the infrastructure and operations for FIFA, IOC and NFL events support product innovation.
  • Sit on key LOC, OCOG, and Partner Taskforces focused on driving Visa's priorities.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of any other sponsorship initiatives or administrational matters related to the events as deemed necessary by management.
  • Event Activation: support the events on the ground from product innovation and integration to infrastructure and network implementation.


    Required Skills

  • Higher education. MBA / Masters Degree a plus.
  • 12-15 work experience in Marketing, Marketing Operations and/or Sports Marketing, preferably in multinational organizations across global initiatives and campaigns.
  • International work experience strongly desired.
  • Work experience across major global events or similar national or multi-national properties and involvement in the organization of large events (FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League or Euro, etc.).
  • Experience in payment services and point of sale infrastructure strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, experience in client management is a plus.
  • Able to meet role's frequent international travel requirements (30%).
  • Knowledge of payment services marketing programs preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams toward common goals.
  • Self-starter; client-oriented, comfortable working independently.
  • Experience in complex project management and the ability to manage multiple projects at one-time.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have language proficiency in English. Korean or Japanese are a plus.
