ZTE is seeking an experienced Sports Sponsorships Marketing Manager. This position will assist ZTE USA's Sponsorship Marketing team leader in the development, coordination and implementation of marketing plans for the sport marketing and entertainment marketing programs. Moreover, this role will actively contribute to achieving the team's objectives and targets through supporting the development and management of programs and campaigns in various sponsorships.
Responsibilities:
65% - Manages ZTE's sports marketing program
Manages strategy of sports marketing program, working with outside partner (sports team, entertainment marketing agencies, public relations) and internal teams to ensure consistency and achieve measurable results in all aspects of the program
Facilitates contract negotiation with Sports team, and ZTE sponsored athletes, including management of all responsibilities outlined therein
Provides daily management and oversight of ZTE Sponsored team and athletes, including: ensuring timely adherence to all contractual obligations such as social space content obligations, photo and video shoots, and trade show and event appearances
Assists in management of events and promotions
Works with ZTE marketing managers and events team to leverage partnerships for event activation
15% - Researches best in class in sports marketing, events and content. Including creative, future thinking
10% - Oversees all aspects regarding sponsorship and activation of sport related videos, web content, television
Works to leverage strategic partnerships for content and other benefits to ZTE marketing activities
10% - Maintains partnership relationships
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in athlete/ sports event management
Experience with Athlete/Team management, Contract negotiations, Budget management, Project management, Social Media (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)
Bachelor’s Degree, Sports Management preferred
Sound knowledge of marketing principles, knowledge of sports and entertainment industry
Willingness to work evenings and weekends, Desire to work in the sponsorship and events arena
Ability to travel 40-50% domestically and internationally
Able to juggle a number of tasks at once and consistently to deliver high-quality work to timescale
Sports (basketball, golf, soccer, football, etc) lover
Time management, fixing priorities, organizing skills, attentiveness, accuracy in performance
Exceptional ability to foster relationships, while simultaneously moving the business forward
Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
Global business knowledge with cross culture agility
Good people and management skills with proven ability to coach and build teams.
