Oversee the day to day coordination and implementation of Brand Experience Marketing events through all phases; concept, execution, logistics, and analysis. Active involvement in Brand Experience Marketing events includes national brand and consumer events. Event portfolio may include large-scale launch events, vehicle display and touring programs, fashion and entertainment initiatives, partnerships and product launches (Pre-Launch, Launch and Post Launch), product integration within films, arts, culture and/or sports events. Coordination of all details of the MBUSA ambassador activation (sports and lifestyle) and execution of all associated product placement.


Additionally, oversee exhibits, promotions and product displays as needed. Actively participate and ensure that events meet established event criteria, are compliant with corporate policies and within established budget guidelines and strategies.


Job Deliverables

  • Oversee marketing events (as assigned) in planning, management and execution. Provide pre and post evaluation of all event activities and programs. Work with appropriate internal and external organizations to identify and activate engagements against targeted brand guidelines.
  • Exercise cost efficient financial planning through the maintenance of budgets for events and promotions and other assigned activities.
  • Complete the documentation of capital budget projections and expenditures for assigned projects, events and activities as related to the Brand Experience Marketing Department.
  • Ensure smooth cooperation between MBUSA’s and Daimler’s event marketing communications departments, in order to attain program objectives while adhering to stringent corporate identity guidelines (must achieve set standards and expectations for all national marketing strategies).
  • Coordinate all assigned events to ensure product placements adhere to contractual obligations and guidelines set forth within respective agreements. Utilize all internal departments and resources efficiently to produce integrated programs, including direct accountability for coordination of risk management and ownership with MBUSA's legal department to execute all contractual event needs.
  • Acquire and review partner, vendor and agency estimates/quotations and contracts in conjunction with MBUSA’s Purchasing Department and adhere to all compliance regulations.
  • Attend all meetings, conference calls and off-site planning activities as related to position, including discussions with Germany and West Coast sometimes during off business hours.
  • Create presentations relating to job activities, as requested. Perform special projects and events as assigned by Department Manager and/or Supervisor. Present information as requested.

  • Bachelor's Degree


    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities This position requires 2-4 years of experience in the following:

  • Communication Planning: Knowledge of marketing research sources and data analysis techniques, marketing plan development process, strategic and creative integration techniques, marketing team organization and operational processes.
  • Event Planning: Knowledge of planning events from inception to implementation, including budget preparations.
  • Public Relations: Knowledge of principles of effective communications, mass media, publicity, advertising, and community relations.
  • Vendor Management: Knowledge of Agency/Vendor management and budget management.
