The Experiential Marketing and PR Manager is responsible for taking a leadership role in a new product launch for Munchkin. The Experiential Marketing and PR Manager will lead Munchkin's national experiential marketing initiatives. This role requires a person who knows how to manage the million moving parts that make up a great consumer experience and can do so in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for developing and executing experiential marketing programs that drive consumer purchasing, earned conversions, and media coverage
  • Manage all elements of execution for national experiential events and other special PR projects
  • Develop new and innovative ways to drive non-scheduled experiential marketing activities (i.e. guerilla marketing techniques or local and national events with community partners
  • Communicate internal and client brand expectations to experiential marketing staff through face-to-face communication
  • Serve as the on-site, primary manager for frequent high-profile national experiential campaign executions
  • Ensure outstanding staff performance by monitoring daily and on-site activity
  • Develop content in partnership with Training team to develop best-in-class experiential marketing team, knowledgeable in both client and competitive spaces
  • Conduct pre-activation and post-activation briefings to discuss program proficiency and all other areas of program support with internal and external teams
  • Agency Management
  • Select and manage external agencies to assist in PR and Social Media activities. Support decisions with ROI based analysis and KPI tracking
  • Media Outreach - Establish and build relationships with key industry journalists and pitch news, reviews and trend stories to provide Munchkin (corporate) and its brands with positive, influential press coverage
  • Other duties may be assigned

    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/English/PR/Communications or similar discipline preferred
  • 3 plus years public relations and social media marketing experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods
  • Strong knowledge of public relations best practices and metrics
  • Strong communication skills and a highly professional manner with the motivation to pitch media
  • Superior writing and editing skills and strong proofreading and grammar skills with a proven ability to create unique and compelling positioning and messaging
  • Demonstrated knowledge of how to maintain and grow a social media presence across array of networks and technologies Passionate and driven. A demonstrated willingness to roll-up sleeves and do what it takes to drive initiatives to success
