  • Drive business development for key experiences and attractions across all categories including: Live Entertainment, Traveling Exhibitions, Attractions, Family Entertainment Centers and Hospitality
  • Create memorable consumer experiences that tie into overall brand strategies, and increase our consumer’s engagement with our brands, while also generating revenue and merchandise opportunities
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of priority Mattel Brands (style guides, content guides, and content).
  • Vet new licensees and identify unique and engaging ways to present our brands to consumers.
  • Ensure partners and licensees maintain operational excellence on Mattel projects
  • Achieve assigned revenue targets by proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, as well as assess fiscal opportunities at budgeting and forecasting stages with existing licensees
  • Lead deal negotiation and renewals of new and existing Mattel partners, liaising directly with the legal department to achieve favorable terms on behalf of Mattel
  • Set and attain all KPI’s while ensuring compliance of all contract terms. Implement appropriate action, as necessary, to correct potential shortfalls and pursue growth opportunities
  • Work with the local market to develop Live Experience portfolios that support all Mattel lines of business (Home Entertainment, Consumer Products, Toy, etc.) and ultimately drive toy sales
  • Coordinate with Consumer Insights and Live Events Marketing to determine the right studies to commission, and ensure partner is equipped to gather the necessary data to support each study.
  • Drive operational oversight of attractions in the Americas and designated global projects


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in brand marketing, licensing or live events
  • Experience in business development and contract negotiation required
  • Patient, structured and clear communicator with ability to react positively to all PR challenges.
  • High initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in leading teams and/or projects
  • 20% travel is required
