The Director of Partnerships is responsible for the development and execution of strategic partnerships to drive the TOMS business, brand awareness and overall brand energy in our global markets. The candidate will develop plans and strategies, manage and train members of the partnership team, give feedback on product, oversee execution and lead all elements of our seasonal partnerships cross-functionally both internally and externally. This job will work closely in aligning the interests and timelines of the Product/Design, Marketing and Sales teams to create programs that are exciting, on brand and business accretive both in global and regional arenas. This person should take their work seriously but not themselves.
Essential Responsibilities
Partnership annual/seasonal plan development in conjunction with VP and senior marketing and cross-functional senior leadership goals/strategies
Identify partners that bolster areas of business and marketing goals and lead TOMS on the approach, outreach and execution of the program
Provide marketing skills and expertise to TOMS by building, training, developing and managing a team capable of building out the necessary strategies, planning, tools and tactics to generate successful seasonal programs
Communicate amongst all relevant internal departments, including Sales (US, International and Online), Ecommerce, Creative, Social Media, PR and Experiential teams as it pertains to partnerships and departmental efforts
Establish and exceed the metrics and goals of various partnerships including but not limited to: sell-in, sell through, brand awareness/energy lift and PR impressions in target outlets
Develop and refine processes and procedures to facilitate the internal flow of the department and manage direct reports to success
Develop and manage Partnerships team annual budget in a fiscally responsible yet effective manner

Responsible for program planning, distribution strategy input, and budget preparation (5+ years)
Ability to think analytically, strategically and be a key force in driving brand awareness with programs that are trend right, on brand and innovative (5+ years)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present ideas and programs both internally and externally in clear, creative and concise ways (5+ years)
Knowledgeable in current and future lifestyle, fashion and technology trends with the ability to be forward thinking in understanding ‘what’s next’ (5+ years)
Must have proven success in building a new business, team and marketing programs (5+ years)
Versatility, flexibility and enthusiasm – “no task is too small or too big” mentality (5+ years)
Strong rolodex of prospective partners in fashion, lifestyle and action sports industries with an enthusiasm and fluency in navigating and generating interest and excitement for TOMS (5+ years)
Previous experience with global organizations and planning on a global and regional level (3-5 yrs)
Experience in contract negotiations, royalty structures and industry best practices around partnership agreements, contracts and MOU’s (3-5 yrs)
Education and Experience Required
8+ years of marketing/ branding and partnership experience
BA or BS degree preferably with an emphasis in marketing
Proficient in Microsoft Applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership experience in a global organization with the ability to inspirationally manage direct reports as well as maintain and drive dialogue with all cross-functional stakeholders on a global scale
