The Manager-University Marketing and Sponsorships will develop and execute integrated marketing and promotional campaigns across multiple key university campuses, leveraging partnerships, to drive brand affinity with future corporate travelers.


Job Summary:

  • Responsible for managing Delta's partnership agreements with over 14 universities, as well as the multi-platform brand advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Includes strategy development to achieve specific and measurable business objectives, negotiating and executing sponsorship agreements, developing and executing integrated marketing plans on both the local campus and national levels, and developing targeted communications curriculum for customer targets
  • Leverage traditional and nontraditional channels to develop relevant communications curriculum, fostering loyalty and brand affinity
  • Properly translate the company strategy into creative assets and campaigns, executing plans on budget, on time, and with maximum impact against core target audience and objectives, measuring results and using data to inform future work.
  • Manage agency partners and align work with functional areas across the company by effectively communicating strategic thinking to senior leadership and peers.
  • Manage marketing and sponsorship campaigns for local, mid-tier markets, supporting new network investments with strategic, creative and efficient awareness campaigns, leveraging agency resources to drive greater brand consideration in new markets.
  • Develop both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.


    Required Skills

    A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in marketing, business, or communications. A MBA is preferred. The successful candidate must possess marketing or related experience (4+ years) in a combination of advertising, sponsorships, media planning/buying, brand management, promotional and/or product marketing. Strategic planning capabilities are essential. Must demonstrate experience in developing and implementing marketing and engagement plans across both traditional and non-traditional advertising/promotion channels and have experience working with agencies, or possess work experience in creative/media agencies. Must possess significant, demonstrated experience at employing diplomacy skills to gain consensus among non-reporting, independent businesses. Candidates should possess a proven ability to communicate effectively with high levels of an organization, including director, and vice president. Candidate must possess strong financial acumen and experience managing large operating budgets. Must be willing and able to travel (25%).
