Assists the Senior Vice President of Advertising and Marketing with a variety of corporate marketing initiatives. Coordinates company sports marketing promotions and special events.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Director, Sports Marketing in planning and strategic development for corporate sports marketing objectives. Plans and executes sports marketing programs and sales promotions.
  • Assists in development of merchandising materials, television marketing, and out-of-home advertising.
  • Possesses the ability to leverage a variety of marketing initiatives (National Brand Initiatives, Consumer Promotions, Sports Marketing and Hy-Vee Specific Initiatives) whereby allowing the execution of consumer programs, including budget tracking, supervising third parties and agencies, following timelines and managing team members.
  • Possesses the ability to initiate and execute projects.
  • Communicates constantly with Director, Sports Marketing on results and trends.
  • Tracks sales and budgets produced for special events.
  • Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours.


    Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares various reports as assigned.
  • Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.


    Required Skills

    Education and Experience:


    Bachelor’s degree in sports marketing, marketing or advertising required. Six to eight years of experience in sports marketing, marketing or advertising is required. Team activation, advertising agency or corporate marketing department experience is preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.


    Working Conditions:


    The duties for this position are conducted in a general office environment. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.

    Contacts:


    Has frequent contact with suppliers/vendors, media contacts, athletes, event staff/volunteers, store personnel and marketing coordinators.

    Has access to confidential information including knowledge of advertising rates and pricing and sales information.
