This position requires a seasoned marketing professional responsible for the strategy, design and execution of marketing programs that positively impact consumer perception of the Spectrum brand in Spectrum retail stores and among our Sports team/venue partners. This individual will lead efforts to improve consideration that creates new customer relationships and programs that reinforce product and service benefits to maximize upsell and retention. The individual must be highly efficient, a strong solutions-based thinker and data-driven in decision-making.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set strategy and lead the development of all marketing and promotional campaigns designed to drive customer growth and brand awareness within the Spectrum retail environment and among Spectrum’s promotional partners.
  • Lead creative strategy for in store materials, including collateral and digital elements, working in concert with product management and integrated marketing teams including creative, media, legal and marketing science.
  • Manage current sponsorship relationships with Spectrum’s current professional and collegiate sports teams/venues, while developing new sponsorship opportunities in key Spectrum markets.
  • Manage all vendor relationships who are engaged in Store/Sponsorship brand and creative campaign development and execution initiatives.
  • Manage overall Store/Sponsorship budget while delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Partner with field marketing organization, Direct Sales and Third Party Retail groups to design local and national marketing programs across multiple channels.
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Effectively communicate concepts and ideas for brand impact and creative strategies to senior leaders.
  • Effectively manage the Retail and Sponsorship teams in alignment with corporate strategy and actively find ways to grow and cultivate team.

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex data, including financial analysis/modeling
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to motivate others to drive revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Ability to link strategies to financial plans and effectively manage budgets
  • Knowledge of telecommunications products and services (or transferability of consumer marketing experience in other industries)
  • Knowledge of the development of customer metrics and measurement tools (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Knowledge of program testing, tracking, profiling, targeting, metrics and analysis
  • Knowledgeable in utilizing customer data and insights to develop brand and segmentation strategies
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback in a constructive way
  • Strong agency management skills and strong inter-departmental collaboration abilities


    Education

  • BA or BS degree required in Marketing or related field
  • Masters degree preferred but not required


    Related Work Experience15 + years

  • Marketing leadership experience, preferably in consumer retail/sports marketing or related industries
  • 10+ years Strong agency management skills and strong inter-departmental collaboration abilities
  • 5+ years Experience overseeing development of direct and brand advertising campaigns to include broadcast TV, OOH, print, sales collateral digital media, etc.
  • Experience in consumer technology or related industries
  • Familiarity with brand research development and analysis
  • Experience managing national advertising programs at the strategic and creative level
