We are looking for a seasoned, integrated marketing expert who can elevate our marketing strategy, unify our messaging and help establish DraftKings as one of the most innovative, meaningful brands in sports.


The VP, Brand & Sports Marketing will be a senior member of the Brand Marketing & Creative team. The successful candidate will develop DraftKings’ brand marketing strategy and manage the execution of marketing plans by internal DraftKings and external agency resources.


Specific areas of focus:

  • Partner with SVP Brand & Creative to develop DraftKings’ over-arching Brand Marketing Strategy and Marketing Plan
  • Lead the Sports Marketing team to develop seasonal, sport-specific plans that grow DraftKings’ business & reinforce the brand as the leader in Daily Fantasy Sports
  • Manage the Director of Brand Planning with the intention of uncovering meaningful insights about Sports Fans while tracking brand performance & perceptions
  • Drive marketing alignment throughout the organization by:
  • Partnering with the Product team to understand what’s in the pipeline so our marketing plans highlight DraftKings’ product at its best
  • Partnering with the heads of acquisition, retention, content and PR to ensure the brand strategy delivers on company goals & guides all consumer communications
  • Partnering with analytics leaders to develop a measurement plan that establishes, tracks and optimizes channel-specific KPIs, as well as brand measures
  • Partnering with the VP, Creative Director to ensure internal creative output is on strategy, delivers results and lives up to the brand promise
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with the lead Agency of Record


    Required Skills

    The ideal candidate has the following key attributes: results orientation, collaborative spirit, creativity, resourcefulness, organization, confidence, initiative and enthusiasm. Specifically,

  • 15+ years experience
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proven success leading integrated marketing teams for major B-to-C brands
  • LOVES marketing and driven to make award-winning programs that deliver results
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern marketing (digital, CRM, experiential & social)
  • Experience managing client/agency relationships
  • Ability to work well under pressure and achieve results in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to roll-up sleeves and get the work -- big and small – done
  • Team player, motivated to build internal confidence and alignment
  • Avid sports fan and fantasy sports enthusiast
  • Agency experience a plus
