The Marketing department works to ensure that the United experience, products and loyalty program are the best in the airline industry, and communicates these unique features to our millions of customers.


This position is responsible for the coordination, deployment and fulfillment of sponsorship activation programs supporting United’s $24M sponsorship portfolio.


  • Execute deliverables and activation programs on-time and on-budget
  • Collaborate with agencies and sponsorship properties on the design of promotional programs to ensure brand objectives, messaging and budget goals are met
  • Coordinate the creative development process across media platforms including TV, radio, digital, print and venue signage based on sponsorship entitlements
  • Partner with advertising, digital advertising, social media, sales, loyalty, community affairs, and corporate communications teams on all cross-platform sponsorship initiatives
  • Coordinate and secure all required legal approvals on any activation sweepstakes/ external promotions
  • Manage the fulfillment of all promotional commitments
  • Initiate the invoice/ billing process for all sponsorship commitments ensuring payments are on target
  • Facilitate sponsorship requests process
  • Field requests for corporate sponsorship and coordinate with appropriate business group
  • Coordinate the evaluation process with agency partner, if necessary
  • Communicate decisions to ensure closure on requests
  • Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners on sponsorship strategy in all active markets world-wide
  • Work with internal groups to gather research data as input for overall strategy
  • Assist in developing activation briefs for agency partners
  • Assist in the review of activation concepts; provide constructive feedback and make recommendations based on internal strategy
  • Coordinate and implement various research metrics around each platform
  • Coordinate and fulfill internal hospitality requests
  • Act as point for all internal hospitality requests
  • Monitor, track and report all ticket asset usage
  • Partner with all sales and airport leads in hub markets to assist with
  • recognition opportunities


    Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree
  • Extensive sponsorship marketing and agency knowledge
  • Strong budgetary skills and planning
  • Knowledge of advertising and media planning
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and ensure attention to detail
  • Knowledge of global branding principles and adherence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Knowledge and strong understanding of the airline industry and landscape
  • Understanding of global sponsorship business and social practices
  • 3+ years client, agency, marketing communications or advertising experience
  • Must be available to travel extensively
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any
  • employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
