The Pepsi Beverages Company Sports Marketing team is looking for a passionate, creative, high-energy and results-driven Senior Marketing Manager to tackle partnership management and execution for Pepsi's NFL league, team and athlete sponsorships. This unique position will provide significant exposure within Pepsi Marketing, and development of strategic partnership and planning expertise.
The accountabilities of this role are focused on managing and maximizing Pepsi's NFL partnerships and assets including our league, team and athlete relationships. Pepsi's investment in the NFL is a significant enabler for our business and portfolio transformation priorities, therefore it is imperative that we build and leverage our premier relationships within the NFL to connect our brands with the passion points of fans. This Senior Manager position will assist the Director of Sports Marketing in crafting and communicating the long-term strategic vision for Pepsi's NFL investments.
This role will require someone who is willing and able to travel to industry and partner meetings and events. Many of these travel occasions occur on nights and weekends, when sports events naturally occur.
Key Accountabilities:
Build/maintain relationships with key NFL league, team and athlete partners, managing and maximizing assets that come along with each
Track with agency partners the execution of all contractual assets within our current relationships, specifically athlete and Super Bowl assets
Assist the Director in identifying and developing Pepsi's strategic NFL plans
Evangelize sports within Pepsi marketing
Drive Portfolio Transformation priorities via our sports partnerships and assets
Lead education and inspiration for our NFL partnerships with our brands and other internal cross functional groups
Facilitate partner and agency status meetings
Collaborate with cross functional teams (i.e. Brand, Media, Digital, Packaging, Legal, Trademark, Consumer Relations) to plan, facilitate and advise on brand programming and creative deliverables including national TV/radio, point of sale, customer and digital
Continual immersion in and monitoring of the sports industry to identify new opportunities to engage fans and partners
Manage our core agency partners to deliver results
Minimum Qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree
A minimum of 7 years prior work experience (if Undergrad degree only) OR 5 years of prior work experience (if Advanced degree)
3+ years of relevant marketing and/or sports marketing experience and a strong understanding of brands/brand building
Willing to travel approx. 30%+ of the time
