  • Develop, manage and execute the strategy for marketing partnerships on a regional and national scale
  • Create a scalable partnership marketing portfolio or framework that aligns with our Brand and customer segments across key categories which include sports, outdoors and recreation
  • Lead the ideation, development and execution across our marketing partnerships by creating value-adding engagements that continue to elevate the brand, drive traffic and build customer relationships
  • Drive integration with internal marketing stakeholders in order to build cohesive marketing and content strategies that reinforces, elevates and differentiates our brand positioning
  • Lead licensed marketing planning and execution to maximize key sports seasons and Hot Market opportunities
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with agencies and partnerships to set priorities, drive delivery timelines, and ensure flawless execution of programs
  • Mange overall budget development and planning for all partnerships
  • Analyze and evaluate ROI models for effectiveness of partnership marketing initiatives and develop recommendations for existing and new partnerships
  • Lead and manage team of partnership marketing specialist direct reports to deliver quality brand experiences and engagements through our partnerships
  • Negotiate contracts and terms for partnerships with vendors and services providers
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy’s policies, procedures and safety rules

    Required Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or relevant field of study preferred
  • 7+ years of partnership marketing experience
  • Experience working in retail environment
  • Sports, outdoors and lifestyle partnership experience preferred
  • Event activation experience with brands or agencies
  • Management experience preferred
  • Up to 50% travel, as needed
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create thorough documentation and interface effectively with individuals at various levels
  • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Capable of working effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to independently and effectively lead and administer meetings
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and operate with a sense of urgency
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
