The Senior Manager, Sponsorships will ensure all activities are tied to an integrated marketing communications plan when applicable, partnering with external and internal creative and media agency colleagues, marketing/communications, Brand, Digital, PR, Social and other Marketing and Business functions. The Senior Manager, Sponsorships will interface with internal clients, collaborate in a team setting, strategize/plan sponsorship activations and manage external agencies. Successful candidates will have experience in leading social and digital marketing campaigns in support of sponsorship activations. Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Senior Manager will report to the Director of Brand Sponsorships within the Brand Marketing Department.
In this role, the Senior Manager will:
Lead the development of strategy and objectives for regional sponsorship properties
Lead the execution of existing regional sponsorships
Understand individual line of business needs in order to build strategies and activations that maximize return on investment and sponsorship key performance objectives
Lead cross-functional teams (internal and external) through the development and execution of sponsorship and grassroots event activations.
Communicate key metrics and opportunities through written reports, presentations and stakeholder status meetings for both existing and new sponsorship properties
Evaluate and make recommendations on new sponsorship requests based on business needs
Strong strategy background
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven autonomous leadership in a fast paced environment
Ability to drive and drive projects across a cross-functional team
Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
Passion for sponsorships and sports/entertainment marketing
Record of sound decision making under pressure/compressed timelines
Ability to handle multiple priorities with competing deadlines
Flexibility to travel 30%
Bachelor’s degree or Military experience
At least 4 years of experience in sponsorships and experiential marketing
At least 4 years of experience across other marketing disciplines
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA
At least 8 years of experience in sponsorships
At least 5 years of experience across other marketing disciplines
At least 2 year of Retail marketing experience
