This position is responsible for planning and executing brand-building, consumer-facing, multi-channel events and sponsorships that optimize lead generating growth opportunities. Coordinates on-site and/or digital event execution and analyzes performance recaps for data-driven renewal decisions. Works collaboratively with cross divisional internal business partners. Manages agency suppliers and outside vendors to implement event assets within budget.


Job Description:


Primary Accountabilities


Marketing Event Planning, Coordination and Implementation (40%)

  • Plans and coordinates engaging, consumer-facing events that promote the brand and optimize lead generation.
  • Prioritizes and selects sponsorships/events that meet the organization`s growth goals and objectives.
  • Manages all aspects of events from selection, contracting, planning, activation and execution to final analysis.
  • Communicates to field management and corporate audiences pertinent event activity.
  • Collaborates with Media, Social Media, Digital, Creative, Brand and cross divisional departments to effect broad, far-reaching programs.
  • Works with agency partners, Sourcing and Procurement, and AFI Legal to ensure accurate contract agreements.
  • Creates tools to optimize agent-level event success.


    Marketing Event Portfolio Management (20%)

  • Allocates budget to ensure appropriate distribution of investment across operating territories.
  • Administers and manages event budgets and plans across assigned event platforms and geo states.
  • Researches, reviews and analyzes potential partnerships that align with the American Family brand and builds business cases to support funding approval.


    Event Documentation, Analysis, and Reporting (20%)

  • Analyzes data from activity and results reports to make performance-driven renewal and/or termination decisions.
  • Reviews and responds to all event/sponsorship submission requests and manages input of pre-and post-event data into database.
  • Analyzes performance data and makes adjustments to event activation plans as necessary.
  • Ensures proper guidelines are set to ensure compliance with lead capture procedure.


    Supplier Management (20%)

  • Builds and sustains strong partnerships with all suppliers pertinent to event marketing.
  • Monitors performance of agency partners to ensure constant improvement in scope of services provided and to optimize growth opportunity.
  • Informs agency partners of strategic direction and creative messaging objectives.


    Required Skills

    Travel Requirements

  • This position requires travel up to 40% of the time.


    Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
  • Demonstrated experience communicating complex marketing concepts to all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, executing and communicating consumer facing events.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of budget management concepts.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of marketing concepts, strategies, practices and tools.
