What is the opportunity? As part of RBC Capital Markets’ Client and Marketing Strategy Group, this position will directly support the US Head of Marketing with responsibility for identifying, developing, executing and communicating sponsorships and partnerships designed to promote the RBC Capital Markets brand in the U.S. The position will work directly with the marketing teams and the businesses across the platform on the execution and analysis of specific events and activities that are derived from sponsorships, partnerships or other relationships we have with organizations, charities and media outlets. What will you do?

  • Contribute to an annual strategy that layouts the sponsorships / partnerships that we plan to pursue to increase and define RBC Capital Markets’ brand in the US, and the communications, marketing and client engagement that will be derived from each.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for new sponsorships / partnerships with organizations that will help promote the RBC Capital Markets brand.
  • Contribute to the regional and social media strategy as it relates to building brand in the US and globally.
  • Ensure that all sponsorships/partnerships are fully leveraged to identify communications, marketing and client engagement opportunities and help build and define the RBC Capital Markets brand.
  • Leverage external channels to communicate RBCCM’s key messages and demonstrate our thought leadership and philanthropic initiatives, specifically through LinkedIn.
  • Manage the execution and implementation of all cross platform activities, including RBC Race for the Kids events.
  • Communicate with the businesses so they are effectively engaged in cross platform activities.
  • Ensure client engagement that derives from our sponsorships / partnerships are effectively executed and costs are monitored and controlled.
  • Help define the overall objectives and goals each year for the US Brand Plan.
  • Participate in the development of our brand positioning and the market messaging created to support this positioning.


    Required Skills


    What do you need to succeed? Must-have

  • At least 5 years work experience
  • Experience in Financial Services (specifically Capital Markets)
  • Minimum of a BA in Communications, Marketing or Business.
  • Candidate must have proven experience in Marketing and Sponsorship Development
  • Experience in the marketing of professional services firms or in
  • Business-to-Business marketing.
  • Nice-to-have
  • Social media experience.
  • Graduate degree in business or marketing.
