Overview The Manager – Sponsorship position will support the company's brand activation strategy, principally executing sponsorship-related events that engage employees and customers and bring United's spirit, its products and services to life. This includes working closely with our sponsorship marketing agencies to ensure United gets the most value out of our agency support. This role will also be responsible for brand-activation efforts in support of United Polaris, airport terminal events, product announcements, executive engagements and activations at our Penn Station space. Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of events that activate the United brand, including oversight of marketing agencies and other stakeholders
  • Oversee the design of promotional programs to ensure achievement of objectives around brand activation and customer and employee engagement
  • Evaluate activation efforts for best opportunities for media coverage, employee engagement, and social media and facilitate the widest possible visibility
  • Perform critical administrative duties including tracking and monitoring results of each activation, adherence to budget and leadership of one team member
  • Represent the Sponsorship Marketing & Brand Activation team with internal stakeholders, executive leadership and at internal and external events


    Required Skills


    Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Journalism or Communications preferred
  • 4+ years client, agency or property experience, including sponsorship marketing required
  • Ability to synthesize extensive amounts of data in easily understood, short presentations required
  • Experience in executive communication and ability and confidence to offer counsel and recommendations to senior officers required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
