The Sports Marketing Assistant is responsible for helping and assisting with department and event communications. This position will work with sports marketing managers, teams and Monster departments to maximize our department’s productivity along with preforming other duties that will help at any and all other, properties and events sport marketing is participating. This position will participate in the assistance of event budgeting, contacting events for tickets and the distribution of event tickets, building and providing presentation on department and event properties as required. This position will continually keep abreast of all sports segments and be prepared to offer input and assistance for Monster in all related areas.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with managers and make sure they are supported with the proper tools to support sports marketing activities.
  • Assist in the collection of social media assets and work closely with internal department’s relative content.
  • Build and provide presentation which show department strategy that are properly aligned with department goals
  • Planning and setting proper budgets for each segment of sports marketing, building spread sheets
  • Provide assistance on contracts and manage the contracts of athletes in all segments
  • Create a deep connection, commitment and dedication all department goals in segment.
  • Create and maintain personal relationships within the industry an segment; including other non-Monster Energy relevant athletes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to best utilize all properties department manages.
  • The over assistance in any and all event related activities general purpose.
  • Sports marketing drink orders, POS orders and apparel orders: managers email to Preston. Preston gets the appropriate approval and submits for processing. Coordinates pick up’s. in charge of the Sports Marketing Shed and keeping it fully stocked.
  • Sponsorship letters-opens and responds to incoming mail for sponsorship requests
  • Handling event tickets (Supercross, Monster Cup, etc.) maintains the name list for Kendra and accounting. Maintains the will call list.
  • Assist with approval forms budgeting and accounting for Dirt Shark videos along with any other related approves that may need to be perform to meet Monsters Policy and Procedures.
  • Attend and assist on random on site local dirt shark videos.
  • Assist with the taking over all Media Invoices from Andrea.
  • Assist with Hotel contracts and party planning events for the following Summer X, Winter X, Vegas SX, and Monster Cup. Work with hotel setup and manage all managing the room block, food, beverage, tickets and wrist bands along with following up with all final billing.


    Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Travel 40-60%
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal communication skills
  • Graphic Design software capabilities a strong plus
  • Current Social Media proficiency and experience on twitter, Facebook, instagram etc.…
  • Experience in media and content generation with athletes and sports properties
  • Service oriented personality and willingness to work unusual hours and weekends
  • In-depth knowledge of sports and industry
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • 3 – 5 years industry experience
