This position supports the Partnership Marketing initiatives for the U.S. Olympic Committee’s corporate partners. This individual is responsible for independently managing day-to-day relationships with select partners, including strategic planning, as well as driving revenue through incremental marketing activations. In addition, this individual will prepare custom integrated sales programs, packages and pitch presentations that best align with their partner’s brand objectives and goals.


Duties & Responsibilities:


The five main areas of focus for the USOC Partnership Marketing team are as follows:

  • Account Service
  • Review Partner Marketing Campaigns
  • Planning and Marketing Activation
  • Incremental Sales of USOC Assets
  • Support Renewal strategy and negotiation
  • Specific areas of support include the following, but are not limited to:


    Manage portfolio of corporate sponsors, providing day-to-day support, ensuring that all contractual obligations from both the USOC and corporate partners are met. As lead with these specific clients, the Manager is individually responsible for marketing activation related activities, communication with senior client leadership, planning for USOC activation and client expense and revenue tracking.


    Drive media and marketing revenue by helping to create and develop strategic marketing plans for partners within his/her portfolio that support Partner’s strategic objectives. As Manager, this person will have an annual stated revenue goal.


    Review partner advertising and marketing materials that include marks, IP, and terminology, ensuring creative adheres to the mission and standards of the USOC while protecting partner’s individual category marketing rights. This includes review throughout all stages and communication of any feedback to the client and agencies.


    Manager will be expected to be a resource for partners to strategize creative marketing tactics and activations that encompass all aspects of the Olympic and Paralympic movement (i.e. NGB partnerships, athlete programs, etc.) and drive an increased ROI for partners.


    Possess deep knowledge of the companies that comprise his/her portfolio and the broader industries in which these companies compete.


    Responsible for creating briefs for USOC senior management and cross-departmental teams on the business strategies and performance of each of the companies with his/her portfolio of corporate partners.


    Maintain and improve client relationships and client satisfaction.


    Assist corporate partners in achieving ROI goals that will ensure maximum renewal opportunity by working collaboratively with client, their agencies, internal and external resources.


    Develop an overall business strategy and account plan for each client that will determine investments in USOC assets, acquisitions and alliances while providing strategic direction to promote/activate against USOC brand initiatives.


    Ensure that all partners receive the highest level of service. This includes communication and strategic planning throughout all levels of the partnership marketing team.


    Work cross departmentally to help identify and develop new ideas and assets that meet both corporate partner goals as well as USOC objectives.


    Required Skills

    BR>Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum six (6) years in partnership management with industry leading domestic/global brands
  • Partnership/sponsorship experience at a premium sports and/or entertainment property or agency
  • Experience in, knowledge of, digital marketing platforms Skills:
  • Proven ability to develop and sell marketing activation programs
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lead conversations with senior clients
  • Think independently and make decisions
  • Familiar with word processing, presentation development, and database use

  • Partnership Marketing team is split across two USOC locations – Colorado Springs and New York City
  • Domestic travel semi regularly and international travel occasionally
