Revenue Strategy
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute revenue growth strategies for the podcasting
P&L including but not limited to an owned and operated content slate, newly developed thematic or subject driven offerings, branded content capabilities etc.
Partner with Podcast GM to outline content and partnership roadmap in support of sales development and listener growth.
Act as resident expert on all things podcasting setting positioning, supporting sales teams through packaging, addressing questions/pricing issues and driving learning through the organization.
Develop curated list of key targets to manage and lead through to sale
Aid in the development of successful sales operational processes (inventory, post sales metrics, content partner process, marketing research).
Steward reporting responsibility with respect to sales funnel around podcast sponsorships
Required Skills
Qualifications:
10+ years of some combination of media sales and advertiser experience is required, with at least 8 years in digital sales experience
Creativity and perseverance to develop business over the long term, a high level of independent thought and strategy
A reputation for being an enthusiastic, energetic, effective networker who enjoys the selling process and is committed to building relationships and adding credibility for the Company
A strong customer focus coupled with a sense of urgency for the business, and a passion for delivering the highest level of client service
A strong existing “rolodex” of decision-capable client relationships
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close a deal
Excellent follow-up, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
