Responsible for securing, managing & evaluating key brand partnerships and strategic alliances that strengthen and drive the image of the Bass Pro Shops brand, bring in new sponsorship revenue, reduce costs, improve consumer experience at events & increase our credibility in key endemic and non-endemic environments. In addition, this position is responsible for the day-to-day relationship management and activation of all Bass Pro Shops sports sponsorship properties.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Secure, manage and evaluates Bass Pro Shops brand partnerships by Identifying & securing brand partners within 4 key criteria:
  • Partners that add credibility
  • Partners that add value & operating improvements to the content of the event creating a better consumer experience
  • Extend the reach & impact of programs through new partner marketing channels that reach the Bass Pro Shops customer
  • Bring in additional revenue or in kind value to affect overall budget
  • Develops the annual marketing plans and Bass Pro Shops integration opportunities with each corporate partner, to ensure growth goals and renewals
  • Manages the day-to-day relationship management with all key partners – acting as the primary interface and contact for Bass Pro Shops
  • Acts as the primary marketing contact for all endemic Conservation group relationships – from a strategic and tactical execution standpoint Secure & manage deliverables for all brand partnerships at Bass Pro Shops
  • Develops and executes annual plans for all aspects of the selling process related to Bass Pro Shops proprietary properties (motorsports platforms, TV shows, broadcast, print, etc.)
  • Fiscal responsibility for managing partnership revenues & budgets
  • Management of marketing specialist that handles all execution and support of relationship management and marketing deliverables to all partners and Conservation groups


    MEASURES:

  • This position will be measured against our ability to secure, activate and maintain strategic partnerships, & ad sales. Generates brand partners that create positive impact on the business through extending the consumer brand experience, reach & engagement - with specific measures on awareness and perceptions of our partnerships.


    Required Skills

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • The ideal candidate will have Strong (8 years) relevant experience in events, partnerships, sales & marketing. Media & sports agency management experience preferred. Should be self motivated, have a commitment to results, excellent communication skills, and have the ability to develop and implement a marketing plan in conjunction with diverse, inter-company team. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of event/project management, very strong communication skills, sales, marketing and the ability to sell the Bass Pro Shops brand to key partners.
  • In addition, the following characteristics are all highly valued and desirable: Interest or passion for the outdoors (fishing, hunting, camping, etc), knowledge of the advertising/media landscape, a large contact base of prospective brands/partners, professional sales experience, contract and negotiation skills – constructing, reviewing and negotiating the most advantageous agreements with suppliers / external partners, thorough understanding of relevant distribution outlets (all communication channels), strong understanding of TV and video production programming and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
