The Data Analyst will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to quickly establish a rapport with all levels of internal staff. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, has exceptional technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task. This role will assist management and communicate with various teams within the organization with administrative tasks including communicating results, creating accurate reports, account maintenance and general team support. The Data Analyst will also communicate externally with agency partners, athletes and their management teams on sharing reports, impressions, recaps and data findings. The Data Analyst must be a team player as they will be asked to wear an assortment of hats throughout any given work day. Ideally, this individual would have experience with statistical and mathematical concepts.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide analysis and interpretation of internal/external data, highlighting any underlying trends to identify new opportunities and recommend strategies to marketing managers.
  • Generate reports out of specialized system/software for the marketing team.
  • Generate quarterly reports for each Athlete, including by not limited to tracking the components of their contract and performance across brand utility, social media, and earned media.
  • Generate sports marketing event and partner dashboards, quarterly reporting and recaps to be shared with both internal and external partners.
  • Provide financial and performance reporting to the sports marketing management team.
  • Track, interpret, summarize and present athlete and event performance in the social media and earned media spaces for both internal and external parties (athletes, athlete management, agency leads, partners).
  • Track department spending and update budget dashboards for real-time reporting.
  • Track and submit monthly accruals.
  • Process, archive, and submit sports marketing invoices including but not limited to partners, events, agency fees and athlete expenditures.
  • Support all-team sports marketing initiatives including owned and sponsored events, Global Athlete Summit, Product Seedings, Contract
  • Negotiations, Mid & End of Year Athlete Reviews and additional team support as needed.
  • Monitor execution of processes specific to data reporting and collection.
  • Prepare visual insight for department management and external agencies as needed. Provide specialized system/software training.
  • Maintain athlete valuation modeling.
  • Work as part of cross-functional teams to increase the level of visibility for ongoing projects.
  • Work with third-party companies and agencies to compile relevant data housed externally.
  • Facilitate the optimization of existing reporting processes.
  • Ad hoc reporting and support.
  • Working closely with sports marketing athlete managers on sourcing, mining, summarizing data to draft “end of year reviews” for each Athlete.


    Required Skills

    SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or similar technical degree.
  • 2-3 years of work experience (preferred in an analytic background).
  • Attention to detail.
  • High level of organization and ability to project manage multiple tasks and data flows.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (i.e., Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar).
  • A desire to work hard and learn.
  • Ability maintain same level of efficiency working alone and in a team.
  • Highly adaptable to a fluid working environment.
  • Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Computer programming skills are a plus (Python preferred).
