DESCRIPTION


The Global Sports & Entertainment (GSE) division seeks an experienced Communications specialist to oversee the internal and external promotion of the GSE brand.

  • Develop and oversee all internal and external communications programming for GSE division
  • Oversee management of external PR firm – traditional and social channels
  • Create and implement a communications strategy that includes Executive development, Influencer promotion and Differentiator storytelling
  • Write and/or edit GSE thought leadership content for traditional, social and new media channels
  • Maintain strong relationships with the media including print, online and broadcast outlets
  • Work with GSE team on strategy, content development and execution, with a focus on new digital media
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all communications activities that shows alignment to business strategy objectives and evidence of effectiveness
  • Collaborates with marketing on project design and implementation
  • Travel required 35%

    QUALIFICATIONS


    Basic qualifications:

  • 7+ years working in Communications and Public Relations; agency experience desired
  • Financial Services or Wealth Management experience required
  • Experience in entertainment, sports or media and technology preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or related field Additional qualifications:
  • A passion for sports, entertainment, music and finances
  • Understanding of the issues and themes impacting the wealth and careers of veteran and emerging talent in the sports, entertainment and music industries
  • Established relationships with press and the ability to cultivate new ones
  • Ability to help shape the narrative for a dynamic and emerging division within a respected and valued brand
  • Ability to get out of the box results under restrictive, in the box conditions
  • Must be a proficient writer – tweets, long-form posts, feature articles, speeches, corporate presentations, marketing materials and more
  • Effective presentation skills to articulate ideas, strategies and plans to internal and external colleagues
  • Highly collaborative, flexible and adaptable with strong diplomatic and influencing skills
  • Superior conceptual and critical thinking skills
