As the Partner Manager, Gaming on the Global Content Partnerships team at Twitter, you will be tasked with ensuring that we consistently over-deliver on all of our partnership goals when it comes to helping the major players in the eSports and gaming industry understand, grow and monetize their audience on Twitter.
Some key areas of focus will be identifying the right partners and negotiating the right partnerships and deals to ensure we are bringing the best content to Twitter and the largest audience to that content, earning both Twitter and our partners incremental revenue. This will entail:
Managing Twitter’s Amplify relationship with the biggest leagues, teams, managers, players, and influencers in the eSports/gaming space
Creating new revenue for Twitter and its partners
Establishing seamless and effective cross-platform packages for advertisers in concert with Twitter partners
Developing scalable business and metrics models for all of the above
Deal development and negotiation, including coordinating with multiple cross-functional teams at Twitter (product, engineering, sales, communications, brand strategy, marketing, and legal)
Being the first point of contact for all brand-related programs with counterparts at Twitter's partners
Working with and training Twitter partners' sales forces
Assisting Twitter Sales in pitches to and ongoing relationships with brands
Serving as the day-to-day-conduit for certain partners, ensuring that throughout our contractual relationships w/ our customers, all of our commitments are met (content volume commitment, sales fulfillment, geo restrictions, etc.)
Working closely with Twitter marketing to grow our gaming audience and fanbase
You will partner with the Global Head of Sports to plan the eSports strategy for the U.S. and ensure global alignment when it comes to priorities of driving revenue growth and audience for our top partners. This means strategically prioritizing relationships with the right partners and identifying areas for growth. What content is in demand with our sales team? How can you partner with both sales and the other teams in your market to ensure we have the right content from the right partners? And, how can you work with internal teams (such as the live, marketing, comms, legal, finance and accounting teams) to guarantee a successful outcome for our external customers.
Skills/Experience Required:
Minimum 8-10 years experience in advertising, media or business development
Experience in the eSports/gaming space strongly preferred
Experience with digital and/or mobile advertising
Experience in negotiating commercial agreements
Exceptional understanding of, and passion for, Twitter and social media’s impact on eSports, and the world
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, in person and in writing, to many different audiences
Firm grasp of the media industry and the advertising sales process
