TuneIn is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and creative candidate to join our marketing team. The PR Manager will work as part of a team to drive strategic public relations initiatives for TuneIn.


The ideal candidate will have excellent media relations skills with a proven track record for pitching and landing coverage for consumer technology brands in high-profile outlets. Experience working with brands in the mobile, streaming, music, sports or media industries is highly desirable. Existing relationships with journalists in the print and broadcast mediums are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with industry journalists, keeping TuneIn top of mind.
  • Bring creative ideas to the table that capitalize on TuneIn’s breadth of content in the ever-changing streaming media industry.
  • Implement and measure the success of public relations strategies.
  • Manage day-to-day project timelines and PR deliverables working cross-functionally with internal and external teams.
  • Write press releases for TuneIn announcements spanning product launches, content partnerships, business milestones, and industry trends.
  • Frequently pitch media on behalf of TuneIn, to secure coverage across tech, business, consumer, trade, and broadcast outlets internationally.
  • Manage speaking engagements by identifying and securing keynote and panel slots at major industry conferences.
  • Work with PR agency and VP of Marketing to leverage broader PR objectives and strategies.


    Required Skills

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ in PR; a mix of agency and in-house experience is a plus.
  • Media relations experience representing high-profile consumer brands, either in-house or at an agency
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to accomplish tasks
  • Strong motivation and ability to take initiative with little direction
