The Senior Manager of Sponsorship Sales will be responsible for generating event sponsorship sales for Marketing Nation Summit and associated roadshows. This event has been held in the US for the many years and is on an aggressive growth plan for the next few as we expand our sponsorship and partner/exhibitor base within the marketing industry and eco-system.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement overall sponsorship strategy: To grow current sponsorship engagement by 200% within the 1st year.
  • Meet with appropriate staff as needed to discuss ways to maximize all partnerships, and review status and leveraging possibilities of current relationships.
  • Identify larger base of prospects within the 5000+ marketing technology companies and develop plan to attract and secure their participation at the Marketing Nation Summit.
  • Create brand opportunities and unique sponsorship offerings to further raise awareness of the summit and build sponsorship revenue.
  • Prepare master sponsor sales materials ± proposals, prospectus, and contracts.
  • Conduct value assessment for sponsorship items and partnership packages.
  • Arrange meetings with interested sponsor prospects.
  • Sell sponsorships.
  • Successfully negotiate and close deals that will keep you performing to expectations in tracking to your budget.
  • Oversee sponsor contracts, invoicing, and accounts receivable or develop processes to ensure execution and collections.
  • Create sponsorship timetables well in advance of scheduled events.
  • Manage sponsor expectations.
  • Provide sponsors a measurement of their return on investment to prove value derived from participation in the largest marketing industry event.


    Required Skills

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of sponsorship development / solution-based marketing programs.
  • Experiencing generating between $3-10M in sponsorship revenue.
  • Experience transforming user conference to industry event.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful individual with a reputation as a "go-getter" and "rainmaker”
  • Strong understanding of technology and marketing automation industries.
  • Proven experience in using digital, mobile and social media to build brand and promote events.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be very well organized with strong time management skills Ability to travel
