The strategic and relationship lead for all Tier 1 (major partnerships with investments over $250K per year each that have broad audiences and drive system brand awareness, consideration and preference. Current partners in this tier are the Ravens, Orioles, Wizards and Capitals. Current annual investment in this tier is over $4M) and Tier 2 (smaller partnerships that are still focused on driving system brand equity but are in the $100-$250K investment range each.


Current partners in this tier are the DC United, Washington Mystics, Washington Valor, Baltimore Brigade, the Senior Players Championship on the PGA Champions Tour and the Citi Open on the WTA. Current annual investment in this tier is $800K) sponsorship marketing partnerships that drive equity for the MedStar Health system brand.


Required Skills

Qualifications


EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in marketing, business or liberal arts.


EXPERIENCE: 10 years of sports/other sponsorship marketing experience including significant big 4 league partnership experience (NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB) as a lead or primary relationship. Sports marketing agency experience (IMG, Octagon) a strong plus. Should have some service industry experience.


LICENSE/CERT/REG: No special certification, registration or license required.


SKILLS: Strategy development. Strong oral and written communications including public speaking. Insight development and understanding. Analytical capability. Strong relationship and impact/influence skills. Project and agency management.
