This specialist position located in San Ramon, California will provide planning, logistics, execution and digital engagement to support the
activation of major partnerships and events.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Manage the day-to-day execution and activation of sports partnerships and sponsorships, with an emphasis on leveraging partnerships to amplify Chevron’s corporate responsibility efforts
Provide strategy, planning and project management for all details of the partnerships and sponsorships, including coordinating communications plans, digital media plans, in-stadium assets, content development, other promotional opportunities, and hospitality programs
Execute partnerships and sponsorships against contracts, and within established budgets
Provide daily guidance to agency support
Manage multiple partnerships and sponsorships at one time in a deadline-driven environment
Establish strong relationships with partners and engage with them on a regular basis to execute programs
Collaborate with internal teams, including External Affairs, Digital Strategy & Communications, Advertising, Social Investment, and local business units to execute programs and amplify corporate messaging.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
Ideally experienced in sports marketing and sponsorship activation
Strong project management skills and the ability to execute multiple programs at one time
Strong interpersonal and communications skills

Strong communications skills, proficiency in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
An understanding of or background in STEM to support the evolution of Chevron's STEMZONE science-in-sports content.
Passion for being creative, testing and piloting new programs, developing innovative marketing programs; familiarity with Chevron's Corporate Responsibility efforts a plus.
Interest in creating original assets, activations and content to deliver once-in-a-lifetime experiences and generate media interest/coverage.
Experience leading stakeholder engagement strategy development.
Collaborative with a demonstrated ability to remain flexible and work effectively with numerous stakeholders.
Availability for events/activation in evenings or over weekends.
