Dell’s Experiential Marketing team is responsible for the overall strategy, design and execution of all of Dell’s major internal and external events. As part of the team focusing on sponsorship activation, the Senior Advisor will be responsible for designing and executing sponsorship programs that engage our partner ecosystem at tier 1 global events, including tradeshows, user conferences, product launches and internal events.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for growing and evolving sponsorship strategy for tier 1 global events; focused on establishing a new partner engagement
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and event organizers to build event-specific sponsorship plans, identifying goals, metrics and revenue targets in support of the overall event experience and program budgets
  • Drive consultative selling motion by influencing and building relationships directly with external partners, in coordination with internal partner and alliance stakeholders, to recommend the right mix of marketing investments for key ecosystem partners
  • Develop global sponsorship packages that create innovative opportunities for ecosystem partners, while enhancing the attendee and event experience
  • Ensure all sponsorship entitlements are fulfilled and provide reconciliation and metrics post event


    Required Skills

    Required:

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in marketing programs, event planning, sponsorship or marketing communications
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience in managing special events and targeted customer/partner engagements that achieve goals and generate results
  • Skilled negotiator with sales experience and ability to foster consultative relationships that drive incremental value and sponsorship revenue
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, manage, and execute on sponsorship programs in support of medium and large-scale events
  • Strong attention to detail, impeccable customer service and creativity in problem-solving
  • Knowledge of competitive environment and partner landscape
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills


    Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • High tech industry experience
  • Knowledge of partner funding models including MDF
