The Entertainment Marketing Manager is responsible for growing the visibility of the PUMA brand within the entertainment space, with a particular focus on the music industry. The manager will help create and execute music marketing programs and partnerships in accordance to and aligned with the overall strategic marketing plan, in both sport and lifestyle. They will also support regional initiatives through music marketing, particularly in the US and Europe.


The candidate should have a strong knowledge of all facets of marketing, previous experience within entertainment and marketing, with a focus on the music industry. The candidate will utilize their network within the entertainment industry to enhance the brand and product visibility of PUMA with celebrities and music artists and maximize those visibility opportunities with PR and social media. This person will also be responsible for seeking, managing and maximizing music talent and music artist partnerships and relationships on behalf of the brand. They will work cross functionally with the Central Marketing and Business Unit Marketing teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement entertainment marketing programs for PUMA both globally and regionally, as part of the overall global marketing strategy and major brand initiatives
  • Partner and work cross-functionally with the global and regional PUMA Marketing Teams to develop, support and execute against category and channel marketing campaigns, specifically public relations, social media, creative/production and BU strategists
  • Establish and manage cohesive relationships and close communication with critical departments to ensure synergies on all projects
  • Manage talent/brand relationships as they pertain to PUMA-related music programs and initiatives, assist with managing talent needs and requirements according to marketing and activation plans
  • Identify, secure and build relevant entertainment partnerships and opportunities that drive and enhance the PUMA brand and its business
  • Responsible for conceptualizing and executing tactical entertainment programs for PUMA, and finding opportunities to increase brand visibility within the music space
  • Assist with the management of partner agencies in relation to music marketing programs, initiatives and partnerships
  • Budget management
  • Regular communication of entertainment placement results and wrap up reports


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications
  • 5 plus experience in entertainment/music marketing or related industry (footwear or apparel experience a plus! Label or Management experience also a plus!)
  • Proven success in building relationships, coordinating partnership deals and managing high profile talent
  • Strong, pre-existing relationships within the music industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven influence and negotiation skills with ability to convince others; is able to work within a matrix and remote office environment.
  • 5-10% local, domestic and occasional international travel required
