Cabela’s has an opportunity for a Brand Partnership Program Manager 1 in our promotions & sponsorships department. This position is located at our corporate office in Sidney, Nebraska.


JOB DESCRIPTION: Develop, grow, and strengthen sales and expansion of the Cabela's brand sponsorship, partnership, and licensing programs. Develop and refine Cabela's brand programs. These individuals will work closely with brand partnership manager to make sure all goals and objectives are met or exceeded for the brand, brand sponsorship, corporate partner, and brand license programs. The programs include Country Music Sponsorships/Partnerships, Conservation and Advocacy Sponsorships/Partnerships and Corporate Sponsorships Partnerships.


KEY DUTIES:

  • Research and secure new partnership opportunities. Develop and execute sales plans to meet the revenue objectives for the brand license and corporate sponsorship/partnership programs. This includes cold calling, relationship building, and networking to create new opportunities for each program as well as determining Cabela’s investment amounts for programs.
  • Lead, strategize, schedule and coordinate the logistics of offsite partner events and conventions and work with the Partnership team to execute successful events. An individual will lead pre-planning with internal team, sponsored partner and cross-collaboration with other Cabela's business units. Responsible to interface at events with Cabela’s leadership, Partnership Executives as well as top CLUB Card holders and the public in many cases. These events range from Bass Masters Classic, Conservation, and Advocacy Conventions, National Conventions and events to Country Music Festivals and Concerts depending on program responsibility.
  • Develop and manage budgets. This includes managing budgeted dollars for investments in sponsorships/partnerships; event budgets which include venue negotiations, equipment movement and storage, product selection, and event staffing; and marketing and promotion budgeting including marketing dollars spent to market events, and promotions.
  • Responsible for analyzing ROI of sponsorships/partnerships and reporting on relationship deliverables, partnership Return on Investment (ROI) and presenting to internal and external partners. Responsible to use data around ROI of previous years partnership success to determine future partnership investments.


    Required Skills

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2 to 4+ years relevant experience required.
  • Prefer 4-year degree in Marketing, Business administration, or similar field and 4 or more years experience in Brand Marketing/Licensing. The position will require anywhere from 50% travel to 75% travel . Strong negotiation experience preferred and proven ability to manage a budget.
