The Director of Sports Marketing is responsible for driving the development of innovative sports and athlete initiatives that create points of differentiation through events and athletes, which drives Red Bull’s brand image and relevance within the Business Unit (BU). He/she is the driver of innovation/creativity, establishing and executing a long lasting and state of the art athletes and events program. The Director of Sports Marketing will provide support to the Regional Sports Marketing teams by coaching and guiding them to establish targets, identify key scenes and relationships, enforce strategic direction and initiatives that are in line with National and BU objectives, share best practices, and serve as a sports expert to help achieve marketing and sales goals. The Director of Sports Marketing is also responsible for setting up a strong and efficient network in the national sports and events scene to ensure Red Bull remains on the leading edge of innovation and new scene.     Required Skills

    YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

  • 8+ years relevant experience in sports marketing, athlete and/or team sponsorships.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing a team
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of brand marketing strategy
  • Proven ability to find creative and unique solutions for non-traditional integration into very traditional sports landscapes.
  • Has knowledge of a wide variety of sports and their respective scenes, on a global level
  • Strong understanding of youth culture in sports & consistently aware of new developments in sports & for athletes
  • Track record of successfully managing significant budgets
  • Thorough understanding of relevant distribution outlets (print, TV, video, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presenting and training abilities
  • Proven ability to coach, lead and mentor a team
  • Ability to foster meaningful dialogue and gain buy-in
  • Strong planning and project management competencies
  • Ability to cultivate and drive a highly inspirational and collaborative team environment
  • Creative mind and thinks outside the box with a track record of innovation within sports marketing
