The Sales Marketing Team works closely with Vox Media’s Editorial and Revenue teams to develop, innovate and increase profitability of existing and new sponsorships rooted in our editorial brands. This team serves as the key liaison between Editorial and Revenue in order to strategically develop multi-platform, monetizable offerings that can be tailored to meet our advertising clients’ goals and objectives.


As Senior Manager, Sales Marketing, Sports, you will be responsible for the strategy, creation and execution of integrated sponsorships and packages for SB Nation across digital, branded content, social and experiential. You’ll serve as key liaison between Editorial, Sales and Marketing by fostering relationships with these teams.


Ideal candidates for this position will be have a deep knowledge of the sports landscape, have an interest in creating integrated offerings and enjoy collaborating across multiple teams to find creative and strategic ways to monetize the brand. This position is based in New York City and reports to the Senior Director, Sales Marketing.


What you’ll do:

  • Work with Revenue Operations to analyze performance of sponsorship offerings and develop new products in partnership with Brand Marketing and Editorial teams to ensure we have the best possible offerings available to our sales team
  • Produce relevant sales marketing materials to support the sales process
  • Work with Creative Development in helping support relevant RFPs
  • Organize and update editorial calendars
  • Research and understand emerging trends and opportunities in the industry and across relevant competitive sets in pursuit of new ideas
  • Assisting with sales training and go-to-market roll outs
  • Project manage post-sale execution of sponsorships


    Required Skills

  • BS or BA from a 4-year university or college
  • 5-7 years relevant digital media experience
  • Deep knowledge of the sports industry
  • Background in sports sponsorship and/or Sales media
  • Effective team member and collaborator
  • Driven, self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Enjoys an ever-evolving workplace and team vision
  • Big-picture oriented
