Responsible in development of the adidas US sports roster by fully leveraging on and off field marketing activation opportunities by delivering industry leading strategy, service support while communicating athlete insights to internal cross functional partners. In addition, build equity for the brand by identifying future athlete prospects through best in class relationship management that in return creates strong visibility in the market place and the share of voice within the category.


Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and drive the player strategy for the US Sports category (multi-sport) against KPI’s through the growth of market and mind share. Be the primary contact person for key city location by acting as the brand ambassador across US Sports team categories (multi-sport) by attending key brand activations and industry moments.
  • Develop and manage specific integrated marketing plans for athletes including the event execution, below the line advertising, social media campaigns and athlete appearances that create a stronger athlete profile with consumers and brand connection during the year in designated markets.
  • Manage the acquisition and retention of the player asset portfolio, working with both agents and internal stakeholders working in the best interest for the brand.
  • Work closely with senior management team to scout next generation players and maintain a database of potential signings. Maintain daily relationships and rapport with players, ensuring a premium level of service through product support and marketing activations.
  • Support the execution of category initiatives by placing product buys and forecasting distribution of product based on internal event calendar.
  • Manage the merchandise program concepts for all category related partners.
  • Leverage internal reporting to ensure accurate and timely execution of activations.
  • Act as a direct link between athletes and the adidas product creation process by gathering insights and delivering feedback to the BU Footwear and Apparel Teams, Athlete Services and the Futures Group.
  • Coordinate administrative program operations such as order tracking, filing, budgeting and related correspondence.

  • Four year college or university degree, emphasis in marketing or business preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for a degree.
