Purpose:

  • The Experiential Marketing team has responsibility for all customer, dealer and media brand experience touch points. The team designs, develops, produces and proactively seeks opportunities to showcase the Genesis brand and its vehicles to all end-users.
  • Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Genesis Experiential Marketing, the Manager of Experiential Marketing will be responsible for implementation of various Experiential Marketing activities and programs including; Sports Sponsorships, Promotions, Media Partnerships, National Dealer meetings, Owner Events, Ride and Drives and other event programs.
  • The position will have budget responsibility and will be required to work closely with counterparts in Purchasing and Finance departments.
  • To deliver on key Genesis marketing objectives – increase brand awareness, consideration, improve perception and drive dealer traffic.


    Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day event production and logistics for National Sports Marketing Sponsorships (PGA/Golf tournaments + NFL), Auto Shows, Launch / Owner / Conquest / Regional events and promotions.
  • Procure brand, product, artwork and incentive assets/information for partners to use in event activations.
  • Manage the Genesis master calendar of events, promotional items and the Genesis departments experiential vehicle fleet for all event activations.
  • Guide and support multiple agencies and partners, clearly defining roles and responsibilities and ensuring that all programs are on, brand, strategy and deliver maximum ROI.
  • Responsible for tracking of program budgets and scope of work, ensuring maximum ROI and overall expenditures remain in line with agreed budgets.
  • Facilitate event wrap reports and measure KPI’s, evaluate lead gen surveys/messaging and look for opportunities to increase reach and effectiveness
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate across all Genesis and HMA departments, executives, Regions and Vendors.
  • Lead and contribute to brainstorms and new opportunities to strengthen and grow a successful future for Genesis experiential marketing programs.
  • Maintain awareness of current and changing market trends, consumer attitudes and opinions.


    Authority:

  • Position requires ability to problem solve, make decisions and operate with an entrepreneurial spirit within the framework of a team concept.
  • Manage work flow and the ability to work across departments, along with the wider HMA teams.
  • Develop and implement strategies that all programs are executed against.
  • Resolve issues and communicate to management and business partners.
  • Manage activities and performance of agency and other service providers.


    Required Skills

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Master’s degree a plus


    Related Experience:

  • Seven plus years of experience of which at least three years of directly related experience in event marketing field, either with client or agency.
  • At least three years of experience within automotive industry desired.
  • Luxury event marketing experience required.


    Skill / Knowledge:

  • Ability to manage high-paced environment with multiple projects and agency personnel.
  • Ability to develop strategy and implementation plan for new projects/initiatives.
  • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships at a variety of levels; Executive, Managerial, Field Staff, subordinate and agency hierarchy of personnel.
  • Ability to take and lead the creative development of a campaign and maintain a macro strategy.
  • Must be well versed in the nuances of event marketing.
  • Diplomatic and collaborative attitude, able to motivate partners to meet and exceed business expectations.
  • Ability to create and present executive facing presentations and other materials.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Project Management Skills with attention to detail; master at multi-tasking.
  • Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.


    Physical Requirements:

  • Normal Office Duties.
  • Travel to off-site programs and events required.
  • Occasional night and weekend work.
