Global Sports & Entertainment (GSE) is a division of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management that is exclusively focused on athletes and entertainers as a client segment. GSE consists of ~100 Advisors serving the unique wealth management needs of athletes, entertainers and top professionals in the sports and entertainment industry.


The Field Marketing team focuses on creating tools, strategies and solutions that help foster client engagement and support advisors to retain and win business. This group is broadly responsible for marketing, branding, communications, strategic initiatives, training, and partnering with the Field & FAs on their marketing and business development strategies.


Position Summary: Partnering closely with the management team of the Global Sports & Entertainment (GSE) business, this candidate will be responsible for leading marketing support for GSE, including segment branding, marketing programs and personal marketing resources for Sports and Entertainment Advisors. The candidate will also help support broader marketing programs for the Field, our 16,000 Financial Advisors across 600 branch offices in the US.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing strategies to deliver on business mandates, partnering closely with GSE and other internal stakeholders
  • Create marketing materials, events & sponsorships, and PR/communications that support strategic initiatives and programs of the business
  • Lead marketing campaigns to promote the business and offering, leveraging various marketing channels such as websites, digital advertising, social media and print collateral
  • Lead regular meetings with various stakeholders to manage coordination of content updates and determine appropriate assets
  • Analyze the competition for trends, changes, weaknesses to assess impact and opportunities
  • Utilize a disciplined, strategic approach for development and distribution of marketing output


    Required Skills

  • B.A. or B.S. with a concentration in Marketing, Communications or English a plus
  • Proven marketer with strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail, and a broad knowledge and background of developing marketing and communications strategies and delivering marketing campaigns
  • 2-4 years of marketing and/or communications experience in the financial services industry, ideally within the Sports & Entertainment industry
  • Strong ability to communicate and present to large audiences
  • Strong project management skills; ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and challenging priorities
  • Experienced in working with senior executives to develop marketing strategies and campaigns that advance business goals
  • Ability to prioritize and resolve complex problems and escalate as necessary
  • Knowledge of legal / compliance policies related to financial service industry a plus
