You’ll have the opportunity to raise the bar in entertainment marketing, creating a cultural moment around a free-to-play social game.


After collaborating on strategy with key internal and external stakeholders, you’ll deliver a tactical go-to-market plan to reach and surpass user & engagement goals.


Through launch and beyond, you’ll lead creative execution of best-in-class programs -- from influencers to user acquisition to eSports to co-branding partnerships to mass media takeovers.

You are challenged to work with the best creative partners in the world to produce creative that excites as much as it delivers on its marketing message. You’ll collaborate to break barriers with new media executions that reflect the revolution that is this game.


And that’s just the first game of many we’ve got lined up. We’re just ramping up -- you’ll be a key early hire for the new U.S. marketing team of one of the world’s most influential tech companies.


Responsibilities

  • Break eSports into the mainstream in the U.S., backed by the publisher with the #1 eSport in China
  • Develop and execute esports plans in the U.S. at multiple levels (community to local to pro) that support thousands of players and tournament organizers, casters and vendors.
  • Select and oversee partners to build platforms to support eSports initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tightly integrate eSports programming with game publishing activities and brand pillars.
  • Execute online and offline events, from managing vendors to hands-on tournament operations.
  • Build and manage relationships with eSports partners including vendors, organizers, talent (athletes and on-air) and team owners.


    Required Skills

  • 3-5 years eSports experience, traditional sports, or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate and inspire people, from casual to pro players.
  • Live event planning, execution and budgeting experience.
  • Track record managing vendor projects (on-time and on-budget).
  • Availability for frequent travel, including international.
  • Leadership prowess managing a small team of direct reports as well as collaboration with a much larger cross
