Director - Sponsorship and Media Sales is responsible for targeting and developing sponsor and integrated media partnerships in assigned categories, and managing those relationships through the entire sales cycle and client management process. Requirements for success include ability to target and close 6 – 7 figure integrated sponsorship programs for fortune 500 companies and facilitate the deal process throughout the Spartan organization. Candidate must be able to develop and maintain relationships in target organization or their agencies, and have the ability to create upsell opportunities and expanding relationships by securing long-term renewal commitments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify and develop Global, National, Regional and Local sponsorship and media partnership opportunities in targeted channels and industries
Qualify leads and convert them to sponsorship opportunities
Construct sponsorship programs that convert opportunities into contracted sponsorships
Develop, present, negotiate and manage execution of sponsorship, advertising and marketing programs
Work cross functionally with Spartan Race Sales Team and internal key stakeholders to facilitate sponsorship programs and activation including, but not limited to, Brand Marketing, Product, Production, Legal, Finance, and Client Services
Manage agency relationships and keep them up-to-date on what's new with Spartan Race and support client pitches
Utilize and maintain CRM tool for deal tracking, deal flow and analytics
Ensure all programs and assets are managed to the Spartan branded guidelines
Develop new business sales plans, assets and collateral through the research and development of partnership opportunities
Ensure the goals and sponsorship commitments developed for each client are being met including review/reporting requirements
Deliver annual revenue target by channel, category and asset
Job Description:
Director- Sponsorship and Media Sales role is a commission based senior sales position on the Spartan Sponsorship team and will be responsible for managing and maintaining key sponsor relationships to ensure annuity brand partnerships and monetization of all Spartan Sponsorship and Media assets. This position will write and review sponsorship contracts to meet Spartan Race Inc. brand alignments, valuation and inventory use requirements. This role demands high levels of engagement with the sponsor and Spartan executive team, quick response time to questions or issues, and superior problem solving skills and the ability to communicate program requirements to the internal team to ensure flawless execution and high renewal rates.
