Sports Marketing intern is responsible for supporting all the functions of sports marketing department including but not limited to team partnership, team service, and retail marketing. The intern is account to each function to support their objectives.


Projects

  • Collaborate with Sports Marketing department and NFL category to strategize and develop plan for 2018-2019 New Era Field activations
  • Research future brand ambassadors opportunities and partnership deals, then present to categories


    Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and coordinate all sponsorship assets and the creative needs associate with the fulfillment of them by working with the related Category Marketing teams.
  • Assist Manager with budget reports and invoice process. Includes managing the expense budget and submitting invoices through SAP.
  • Analyze sponsorship performance and provide recommendations on optimization opportunities.
  • Coordinate details of sponsorship effectiveness and tracking status of all sponsorships.
  • Support in activating with sponsorship activities at the team level.
  • Assist in preparing presentations for MLB, NFL and NBA annual meetings.
  • Serve as liaison between Sponsorships and other internal departments when necessary.
  • Maintain and manage the complete portfolio of league licenses headwear exposure tracking database during preseasons, regular seasons, and post seasons.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation for all pro sports league special events (draft, all-star game, championships, etc...) and VIP events.
  • Implement new strategies and methodologies based on research, data, success rates and market trends.
  • Create and maintain team services event sheets for MLB and NFL special events.
  • Research team moments, league moments, and player milestones.
  • Assist with team services need for MLB All-Star, NBA Summer League and NFL preseason.
  • Assists with the coordination of in-stadium product launches, seasonal initiatives and project management of retail build-outs and support with a focus on the Buffalo market

  • Ability to work and manage multiple projects independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook

    Education and Experience

  • Applicate must be currently enrolled in school. Preferably majoring in business, marketing or sports management and able to work up to 40 hours a week.
