This newly formed position in the Twitch Media Group is at the forefront of the exploding esports marketplace. As Twitch is the #1 destination for all major esports events and broadcasts, this position is key to drive the understanding and adoption of major consumer brands and unlocking the sponsorship potential across the category. This position will work closely with the Advertising Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Content and Events teams at Twitch. This position will require moderate travel and reports to the Head of Partnerships & Sponsorships, esports.
Responsibilities
Think like BD, close like sales. This role is designed for a consultative, creative, and tenacious business partner who has the ability to conceive and close sophisticated client solutions
Actively evangelize and present the growing scale and scope of the esports landscape to the outside advertising community and within the Twitch Media Group
Drive direct and indirect sponsorship revenues across Twitch’s esports opportunities by regularly scheduling client and agency facing meetings
Consistently achieve annual sales targets based on Twitch’s revenue objectives
Clearly express the value proposition and benefits of Twitch’s esports advertising products, custom solutions, audience to clients and agencies
Develop unique strategies that caters Twitch esports to specific advertising categories and brands
Work with the Partnerships team to identify key opportunities emerging in the esports space and develop market based strategies for Twitch
Requirements
10+ years experience in digital media sales and/or sponsorships sales, particularly within gaming, traditional sports, or esports industry
Knowledge of the video game and esports industry
Highly entrepreneurial spirit, organized and able to function independently
Able to deal with rapidly changing priorities and business circumstances
Enthusiastic team player and self-starter commitment to excellence
25% travel is expected initially
