I. SUMMARY
The Vice President, Global Partnerships will be responsible for prospecting, pursuing, and developing new sponsorship partnerships for the Brooklyn Nets, Barclays Center, the New York Islanders, NYCB Live, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and other affiliated properties. The incumbent must possess a strong sales background, positive energy and excellent communication skills.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, manages, and nurtures new integrated business partnerships to accomplish sales goals;
Prospects and develops new business accounts; and actively pursues sponsor partner prospects through drafted business accounts;
Manages direct report(s) and helps to guide their sales efforts towards pre-established budgets/goals;
Proactively seeks, builds and cultivates international business relationships;
Works toward integrating, aligning, and executing the Global Partnerships sales goals;
Assists in the exploration and growth of the client account list by leveraging creative ideas for generating leads;
Supervises the day-to-day development of budgets, pacing, and reporting for Barclays Center and NYCB Live, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum;
Creates and effectively maintains reporting documents in an organized manner;
Assists in identifying and creating assets, and takes leadership in the creation of sales materials;
Attends network and promotional events to develop and maintain contact with potential clients and professional partners;
Monitors competitive marketplace, including local, national and international sports and entertainment properties;
Develops new revenue streams utilizing “soft” inventory and creating new programs including 3rd party representation of other properties;
Performs all other duties as required.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. A. Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred;
10+ years of related experience with a minimum of 3 years in a management/ supervisory role;
Sports and/or arena industry experience preferred.
