The Events and Partnerships Marketing Specialist will assist the advertising team with marketing and communications activities including, but not limited to, local market research, events management, editorial functions, and special projects. This role will work closely with other functions of the organization (Purchasing, Promotions, Public Relations, Brand, etc.) and will lead certain projects that have a direct impact on the overall marketing strategy. The Events and Partnerships Marketing Specialist will report to Marketing Manager.
Essential Functions
Oversee certain local events and sponsorships including coordinating local shipments, liaising with local staff, and developing recap reports
Oversee certain aspects of grand openings including maintaining inventory of premiums and sampling product, giveaways, staffing, and on-site support
Execute local market research to support the overall integrated marketing strategy
Regularly attend meetings and provide progress reports on local marketing activity
Collaborate on new campaigns and strategies to increase brand awareness and exposure in local markets
Provide support on day-to-day operations as needed, ensuring deadlines and specifications are met on various projects
Assist in managing internal creative assignments on a project-by-project basis
Responsible for tracking and inventory of key department assets
Assist with editorial and copywriting functions as needed
Assist on tactical execution on key partnerships as needed

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Retail, Business, Commutations or related field required
1-3 years of experience in related field required including internship experience, general retail, marketing, events or other relevant project-based work experience

Physical Job Requirements

This position requires the ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors
The person in this position must be able to identify and distinguish between colors more than half the time
Travel Requirements
This position commutes between regional offices/distribution centers less than 25% of the time within a day
This position requires overnight domestic travel 25 – 50% of the time
This position requires overnight international travel less than 25% of the time
Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train
