The Brand Manager will report to the Director, Brand Management and will be responsible for managing the NBA and MLB product line. Working together, you will lead cross functional teams composed of Design, Marketing, Merchandising, Development/Technology, Operations, Customer Support, and Finance through the crate life cycle each month from conceptualization through launch, fulfillment and post mortem activities.


You will play a role in the selection of themes and product assortment mix for each crate, including the development of our own products (e.g. figurines, t-shirts, home goods, etc.) so an understanding of the product development process is necessary. You will be responsible for achieving growth targets and margin targets for each crate, working closely with our marketing teams to build highly compelling marketing campaigns to drive subscriptions for each product line. You will also work closely with external partners and IP owners on developing co-marketing and PR programs.


The Brand Manager will need to develop a thorough understanding of our customer profile and should have a passion for pop culture and knowledge of its demographic. Experience with digital marketing is also highly preferred.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Grow the Business: Responsible for driving subscription product lines: NBA & MLB crates, by uncovering insights and identifying the levers of behavior.
  • Licensor Relationship Management: Work with IP holders on product strategy and approvals, in addition to co-marketing and growth strategies.
  • Team Management: Lead cross-functional teams for assigned crates through life cycle process with a focus on delivering on time, exceeding customer satisfaction objectives and nailing financial KPIs.
  • Innovation: Invent and drive continuous process improvement and automation across our systems.
  • Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with Marketing team to optimize budget spend per month.
  • Customer Insights: Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the customer profile for each assigned IP partner in order to better support decision making on themes, crate branding, product assortments, IP’s and customer experience. Industry Trends & Insights: Identify relevant market and industry trends to inform planning and decision making.


    Required Skills

  • Experience in Sports Marketing
  • Brand, marketing, product management experience in consumer web or retail/consumer products businesses (minimum of 4 years)
  • Previous P&L management experience
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized, strong attention to detail, self-starting
  • Ability to think analytically and offer fact-based strategic insights
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate cross functional teamwork
  • Passion and interest in entertainment and pop culture
  • B.S. in marketing or related field, MBA is a plus
