The Red Hat Marketing Communications team is looking for an Event Sponsorship Marketing Specialist to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will support marketing, communications, and promotional goals for Red Hat’s global event presence within the technology industry. You’ll oversee the project management of sponsorship for Red Hat’s proprietary events. This is a great opportunity to become part of a cross-functional team responsible for many aspects of Red Hat's experiential marketing.


Primary job responsibilities


  • Lead the Red Hat Sponsorship strategy for integrating ecosystem partners and other third parties into Red Hat events in ways that provide strong ROI for sponsors and enhance customer experience
  • Work with various groups within Marketing and Sales teams to uncover sponsorship opportunities and coordinate a strategy and portfolio of opportunities for sponsors
  • Develop sponsorship project plans and manage all deliverables and timelines associated with the respected program
  • Manage 3rd-party event agency, helping with sponsor deliverables and communication
  • Set and communicate sponsorship strategy to the various marketing teams to ensure adherence to best practices and consistent partner experience
  • In collaboration with the various partner marketing teams, build sponsorship strategy and implementation plan for individual events and programs including prospectus development, revenue model, and sales plan
  • Build and carry out communication and sales plans
  • Design revenue model and own all financial reporting for program
  • Dive deep to understand the Red Hat partner ecosystem to develop relevant sponsorship opportunities to the Red Hat partner ecosystem in ways that are meaningful for customers and sponsors
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our sponsors and partners
