The Entertainment Partnerships Manager is a new position that will manage the tactical elements of entertainment partnerships and celebrity driven initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Entertainment and Brand Partnerships and supports the execution of the Brand Marketing Content Partnerships team’s strategic goals for engaging the entertainment industry, celebrities and influencers to advance NRDC’s mission.


Overall, the Brand Marketing & Content Partnerships team works to:

  • Increase issue awareness, grow NRDC brand recognition and build affinity
  • Engage our existing supporters and attract new and diverse audiences


    We are looking for a creative, detail oriented self-starter who is flexible in a fast-moving environment and can manage a variety of projects and deadlines for our communications department.


    Responsibilities


    Project manage entertainment and celebrity campaigns, partnerships and other initiatives from conception to execution; including but not limited to:

  • Management of events,
  • Calendars & timelines,
  • Partnership contracts,
  • Content rollout
  • Post-campaign reporting and analysis Responsible for facilitating cross-team campaign elements, including but not limited to: Trafficking creative production for channel needs, Ensuring creation and distribution of social guides and assets for partners, Working with digital and analytics teams to track performance for all campaign initiatives
  • Conceptualize ideas for creative celebrity and entertainment partnerships to support NRDC events and initiatives.
  • Align entertainment partnership opportunities with NRDC’s priority advocacy initiatives.
  • Research and produce written materials, such as proposals, presentations, ask letters, memos, social media toolkits, etc.
  • Conduct outreach to celebrities, through their agents, managers and/or publicist; as well as cultivate new relationships.
  • Collaborate effectively with multiple teams, including Marketing, Social Media, Media, Digital Advocacy & Fundraising, Programs, and Development;
  • Work with internal teams on annual and/or short-term marketing initiatives that could have a celebrity or entertainment partnership element


    Required Skills

  • This position is based in our NY office, but open to candidates who could work in our Santa Monica office.
  • Passion for environmental issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or relevant work experience, required.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in celebrity engagement, PR, communications, or similar.
  • Project Management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of pop culture and the entertainment industry, as well as experience with strategic outreach, working with entertainment/media companies, talent and/or their representatives, is highly recommended.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of sound judgment and discretion when dealing with celebrity/entertainment professionals and situations.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills - strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and shifting requests, while working well with a team.
  • Savvy understanding of social media platforms, including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.
  • Highly organizational, with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes some weekend and evening commitments, as well as business related travel.
  • Windows and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency.
