  • Work with the Director of Event Marketing to guide and implement key national initiatives and the local marketing strategy for Saks full-line stores.
  • Support Director of Events in developing the strategy, direction and operation of Saks Fifth Avenue events
  • Manage and oversee the process and execution of events for a key division of the business (e.g. Women’s Ready-to-Wear).
  • Lead the development of event marketing programs for corporate initiatives (e.g. Promotional Focus Weeks, Holiday and Charity campaigns such as Key to the Cure)
  • Identify desired outcome of event opportunities (image, brand awareness, driving sales, social media engagement, press) and work with Director to strategize how to achieve that plan via event concepting and event execution.
  • Liase between all Saks full-line stores, vendors and merchants to support store marketing event planning and logistics for vendor and local events.
  • Develop & manage cross functional communication channels and processes during the stages of events: planning, executing, recapping.
  • Ability to create thorough vendor proposals, source and negotiate resources.
  • Execute marquee events; inclusive of but not limited to: weekly status calls/meetings, invitation (hard copy and digital) development, event list curation, décor & activation design, catering, music, maintaining logo placement/standards and fashion show production (as applicable).
  • Manage event budgets & seasonal vendor chargebacks for events for all Saks full-line stores, and support with monthly departmental reporting.


    Required Skills

  • College degree
  • Relevant event experience in fashion, luxury, hospitality, entertainment or retail industries. Ability to manage several projects at one time in an organized and highly effective manner. Strong sense of urgency and an ability to problem solve are also critical.
  • 5-7 years event-related experience
  • Budget management skills, experience managing individuals.
