The Experiential Marketing Director is accountable for developing dynamic, differentiated events and experiences for our shoppers with the primary goal of driving traffic to our retail venues. Events must be revenue driving, scalable and tailored to specific demographic constituencies.
You work alongside our Property and sponsorship Teams.
You are a creative thinker who can not only brainstorm innovative ideas/strategies, but also bring them to life from a tactical execution perspective.

Property Events
Leads and architects the seasonal roadmap and cadence for Property Events
Develops portfolio-wide, scalable events (& event series). Events are differentiated, dynamic, relevant and cool. Events span multiple categories and consumers.
Builds and deploys a comprehensive event toolkit, inclusive of communication and one-stop-shop implementation guides
Builds out Quarterly Learning Agenda to teach and train Property Marketing Teams on all aspects of marketing (Events, Sponsorship, Digital/Social, PR, etc.…)
Hosts Monthly Working Sessions / Conference Calls for Property Marketing Team
Proactively partners with Sponsorship on seasonal campaigns and national events to identify and drive portfolio-wide revenue streams
Proactively partners with Digital Marketing to ensure all platforms are leveraged to create event awareness, excitement, acquisition and activation
Proactively partners with Internal Communications on events that warrant National PR
Travels to key events to gain firsthand learning’s, observe and solicit feedback to determine overall effectiveness. Gains qualitative and quantitative feedback
Leads special projects as directed
Communications
Responsible for monitoring internal events dashboard
Responsible for formulating communications content calendar – monthly / seasonal
Responsible for all weekly communications to properties. Creates and submits weekly content
Drives the evolution of our communication vehicles through enhancements to current vehicles and roll-out of new.
Owns the overall delivery of clear, concise communication and direction
Hosts time-sensitive hindsight’s for seasonal campaigns, corporate initiatives and events. Reports out on learning’s and best practices
Formulates learning agenda and hosts bi-monthly conference calls for Property Marketing
Formulates Executive Summaries for seasonal campaigns, corporate initiatives and quarterly events
Partners closely with creative counterparts to ensure consistency of brand voice and projection
Competitive Landscape
Demonstrates a keen understanding of the competitive landscape
Patterns competitors quarterly relative to on-property events and experiences
Monitors trends in competitive and consumer landscape to identify activation opportunities
The ability to translate industry opportunities into messaging that resonates with target audiences
Familiarity with media, social media, channels and influencers in and around innovation is essential.
Knowledge of shopping center, retail and/or real estate industry is preferred

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
Education
Bachelors or better in Marketing.
