The PGPA Partnerships & Events team extends Chevron advocacy by managing premier event platforms and sponsorships to deliver enterprise value through enhanced visibility, strategic positioning and stakeholder engagement. We leverage sports platforms and partnerships to highlight, promote and amplify Chevron's corporate responsibility efforts. This specialist position located in San Ramon, California will lead the planning, logistics, and execution support of major partnerships and executive hospitality events.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the day-to-day execution and activation of large events and sponsorships, with an emphasis on leveraging partnerships to amplify Chevron’s corporate responsibility efforts
  • Provide strategy, planning and project management for sponsorships, including coordinating communications plans, digital media plans, in-stadium assets, content development, other promotional opportunities, and hospitality programs
  • Execute events and sponsorships against contracts, and within established budgets
  • Provide daily guidance to agency support
  • Manage multiple sponsorships and events at one time in a deadline-driven environment
  • Establish strong relationships with partners and engage with them on a regular basis to execute programs
  • Collaborate across the enterprise, including local business units, External Affairs, Digital Strategy & Communications, Advertising, Social Investment, and executives to execute programs and amplify corporate messaging

    Required Skills

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Ideally experienced in sports marketing and sponsorship activation
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to execute multiple programs at one time
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in sponsorships and events
  • Project management experience leading cross-functional teams to execute programs on time and on budget
  • Experience developing, managing and executing against contracts and established program budgets
  • Experience in executing large-scale executive events to deliver once-in-a-lifetime experiences and foster business relationships with customers and partners
  • Passion for being creative, testing and piloting new programs, developing innovative marketing programs and events
  • Strong communications skills, proficiency in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Experience engaging daily with support agency, managing their workloads and budgets
  • Some after-hours and weekend events are required, in additional to occassional business travel outside of California.
