The National Events & Sponsorship Strategist is a part of the National Events team and reports to the National Events & Sponsorships Manager. This position supports planning and execution of all of the Company’s event marketing programs that include national, regional and local events, sponsorships, and internal meetings. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Denver, CO.
Responsibilities:
In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
S/he collaborates with the Manager of Events and Sponsorships, as well as working cross functionally with team members from National Marketing and Field Marketing, as well as other support teams.
The role of the events team is ideation, negotiation, planning, and execution of all events, managing and driving a portfolio of projects ensuring adherence to strategy, project guidelines and branding, and best practices.
Build meaningful and trusting relationships with geographically dispersed Corporate and Field Marketing Teams
Collaborate on strategy and approach to execution of all major national events, regional events and sponsorships, identifying opportunities, filtering them against established strategy, and supporting integrated promotional efforts around each program
Support strategy and execution of all core program and local event marketing projects, mentoring and supporting field marketing team to help them achieve and execute their event marketing plans locally.
Work directly with Integrated Marketing and Project Management Team to effectively communicate program goals and details, and follow project from start to finish with exceptional communication.
Help support planning and execution of internal meetings and events.
Work collaboratively with SSR, Supply Chain, Menu Development, Finance and other support groups to plan and execute events and stay in unison with company initiatives and policies
Support on-site execution at events across the US, as needed.
Coordinate reporting on executed programs to help provide ROI input on projects
The ideal candidate will:
3-5 years of experience in event marketing or brand marketing
Be impeccably organized with careful attention to detail
Able to proactively identify challenges and provide solutions
Be a leader with a mastery of written and verbal communication
Be a self-starter with excellent time management skills requiring limited supervision
Have an understanding of creative and production workflows and trafficking projects within a system
Be diligent in follow-through, owning and guiding projects from infancy to execution
Have experience managing multiple projects across various channels
Be a relationship manager and team builder
Have the ability and desire to effectively drive change, evolve and improve our program, and find efficiencies
Enjoy moderate travel, mostly on weekends
