The Coordinator, Experiential Marketing assists in managing events/sponsorships across the Pernod Ricard USA spirits portfolio, with specific focus on delivering programming designed to specifically drive brand advocacy amongst the "Trade," our biggest customers (i.e. bartenders, industry insiders, account owners) and consumers. The candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Manager, Experiential Marketing, with a close collaboration with the Commercial Advocacy team, to deliver impactful and educational event experiences for the company’s award-winning portfolio. The candidate will work with the Senior Manager to oversee external agency partners as well as coordinate experiential plans to ensure an integrated approach with constituent teams such as media, digital, social media, sales and division marketing (among others).


Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  • Support in the delivery of impactful and creative event experiences to support brand business goals, with a focus on building brand advocacy among trade and consumers.
  • Ensure programs deliver measurable results to drive brand awareness, digital conversion/database building, consumer engagement, and trial to create a direct path to purchase.
  • Establish strong, collaborative working relationships with brand and partner/vendor agencies.
  • Oversee management/ordering/budgeting of brand-related POS items and traffic/store items for ongoing event use.
  • Work with Senior Manager to ensure that our programs work to increase our database of on-trade decision makers and influencer.
  • Work with Commercial Advocacy team to define recruitment, data capture and ongoing communication process. All programs should be measurable and integrated and allow for an enhanced experience through digital, social media, eCRM, content, etc.
  • Build PRUSA/spirits industry knowledge by participating in internal training programs, and otherwise build knowledge of company, industry, and products, reporting findings back to ensure development and growth within the team and business.
  • Expand knowledge of key accounts, industry leaders (mixologist/bartender community) and network both within the organization and industry
  • Research and share competitive activity in the field of experiential marketing.
  • Research new engagements and executions to continue to elevate our brands and events to be best in class. Showcase best practices within digital/tech focused consumer engagement and innovation research among spirits marketing team for ongoing education.
  • Attend industry conferences and events as needed.
  • Track budget and expenses for all PR/event activities within guidelines set by managers.
  • Coordinate POS ordering and management of inventory.
  • Assist in various administrative tasks to better the day-to-day processes and function of the Experiential Marketing team.


    Nature & Scope Position typically works with external agencies, and all internal stakeholders – i.e. legal, sales, marketing, digital, multicultural, media, ecrm/CRM, finance and customer service personnel as well as distributor partners; POS account representatives and supplier personnel. Communication can include sensitive information, requiring confidentiality and discretion in dealings with contacts.


    Required Skills

    Education: Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in marketing, communications, or related backgrounds).


    Experience / Background: Minimum three to four years experiential marketing/sponsorships/account management experience either with an agency background and/or brand is required. The fundamental underpinning of this role is understanding "client service" and serving in a counselor capacity. Relevant corporate experience is beneficial, and an understanding of the alcohol beverage industry is a plus, though not required.
